Shopping List (For 4 Pax)

Ingredients

  • 1 x Chicken – Cut to Pieces (~1.2kg)
  • Mushrooms
  • 5 x Ginger Slices
  • Dark Soya Sauce
  • Light Soya Sauce/ Fish Sauce
  • Sugar
  • Sesame Oil

Cooking Steps

Step 1: Heat Sesame oil in the pan

Step 2: Fry the ginger till fragrant

Step 3: Add the chicken and drizzle dark soya sauce

Step 4: Add some water to simmer the chicken for 15 minutes

Step 5: Add light soya sauce/ fish sauce & a bit of sugar to your desired taste

Step 6: Add Mushrooms and simmer till all are cooked

Step 7: Ready to Serve

Notes:
I used fresh shitake mushrooms so i can only add when chicken is almost cooked. If you use dried mushrooms, you can add earlier. My chicken was in large pieces so it takes longer to cook.
