I spent the afternoon at Pacific Emporium, Pan Pacific Singapore, and honestly, this isn’t your typical afternoon tea — it’s a true Peranakan celebration in honour of SG60. 🌸


It started with their signature Nyonya Bloom — a refreshing blend of peach, passionfruit, pandan, and gula melaka — such a perfect welcome. Then came the savouries: Crispy Lobster Popiah, Peranakan Stuffed Chicken Wing in Inche Kabin style, and even a comforting bowl of Nyonya Laksa. The flavours were bold yet so familiar — like a warm nod to heritage.


And the sweets? Pure joy. From the delicate Strawberry Shortcake and Hazelnut Praline Puff, to the whimsical “Fish Tank” Matcha Financier with blue pea jelly — plus classic scones of course — every bite felt thoughtful and beautifully crafted.


I paired mine with TWG tea, but if you’re feeling indulgent, you can add a glass of Taittinger Champagne 🥂 (which I totally recommend for that extra sparkle ✨).
