Street 50 ~ Yippee!~ Long weekend is here soon! It's Happy Friday. What's your plan for this weekend? Going travelling? Staying in Singapore? I have something for your consideration. :) Bay Hotel Singapore's very own STREET 50 Restaurant & Bar has designed a special buffet lunch menu to celebrate the occasion with the First and Only Pasteurized Fresh Eggs and Quail eggs from local Uncle Wiliam's quail farm. An interesting buffet experience where you not get to eat, you get to also learn about eggs through games and talk. They are also giving away a free Easter Egg Terrarium for every 4 paying adult. Combination of Chinese cold cuts!~ It is presented to us like our Chinese cold dish that you see often in weddings. I understand that it would not be like this on the actual lunch buffet. As usual, my all time Favourite is the jellyfish. QQ!

Braised Tofu with Crab Meat and Egg white. A light simple dish that reminds me of home cooked food. Good for people who enjoy light flavor dishes. Think will go well with white rice. Sorry that I didn't managed to catch a good shot of the dish. Too challenging as there isn't much colors for me to play with. Skills need to be improve!

62 degrees soft boiled egg with Chicken Essence. My favourite out of all the dishes I tasted. Haha my 2 Favourite all in 1. Chicken Essence is often consumed to promote our well-being. Great option for some who doesn't like to take the chicken essence on its own.

Potato Salad with Pommery Mayonnaise. Simple potato salad dish. The amount of mayonnaise is just nice for the potato. Not too much not too little.

Oven-roasted Chicken with Quail Eggs and Spicy Tomato Sauce. Not really spicy. It reminds me of the pasta tomato sauce.

Scotch Egg. I have never eaten scotch egg. I am not used to its taste.

Sambal Prawn with Quail Egg. It is not as spicy as I thought. Would prefer it to be slightly more spicy.

XO Fried Rice with Crab Meat. Would have prefer it to be cooked with lumps of crab meat. Can't really taste the crab meat in this way.

We have tried the following:

- XO Fried Rice with Crab Meat
I think the best part of the buffet is not the food but actually the whole dining experience. They combined with the educational talk and games about Pasteurized Fresh Chicken Eggs from N&N local farm and Quail eggs from local Uncle Wiliam's quail farm and also making of Terrarium.
I never realised that there is pasteurized chicken eggs. This is awesome . Pasteurization can kill Salmonella or Bird Flu virus which can be present inside or outside the eggs. The pasteurized chicken eggs from N&N farm also contain omega 3 & 6, Vitamin E and lower cholesterol. When the egg is printed with "P", it is to show that it is pasteurized chicken eggs. When the chicken egg is cracked open, it is a bit cloudy but it is actually normal. It is due to the Pasteurization. The chicken eggs can actually keep up to 60 days if you store them in the chiller. So cool!

I got to learn how to make my first Terrarium! So Fun! Hope my plant will survive!
