My Rating: (3 out of 5)

I love Japanese ramen! I have heard about Santouka serve great ramen but never had the opportunity to try it. I went the central to have lunch and spotted Santouka when I was browsing the shop directory at central. It was hidden in a corner if I didn't read the signs I am sure I won't be able to find it.
Ambience
The place is pretty small. It is really crowded during lunch time. The tables were placed too closely that you can easily hear the conversation of the next table. It can be really uncomfortable during the peak times. They place a big flask of water on each table. It poses some inconvenience as their tables are already too small.
Service
They seem to be a bit short handed. I noticed that they serve the egg some time before their ramen is being serve for the other table. It seems so weird.
Food
We ordered the following:
~Pork Cheek (Tokusen Toroniku) Ramen~ ramen porkcheek egg
They have served the pork cheek, egg and the other garnishing separately. They are laid nicely on a lovely plate. It is highly advised to put in all these into the ramen soup. This will heat up the pork cheek and egg or it will be too cold. The pork cheek is really to die for! It literally melts into my mouth! Yummy! The soft boiled egg is also nicely done. Golden yellow yolk simply just whet my appetite! Thumbs UP! Do not miss this dish!
~Cha Siu Bun~ char-siu-bun-tea bun
It was quite interesting to see they serve the cha siu bun with a cup of tea. Unfortunately, I personally feel the cha siu was too tough and the bun was not soft enough. The tea gives a refreshing note to it to get rid of oily feel from the cha siu.
