Shopping List (For reference)

Ingredients (For 4 persons)
  • 1 x Frozen Pastry Sheet
  • Fruits of your choice (E.g. Strawberries or Blueberries)
  • Cream Cheese or Jam
  • Blueberries
  • Icing Sugar (Optional)
  • 1 x Egg
Cooking Steps

I am using frozen pastry sheet to save time and effort.
Step 1: Cut the partially thawed pastry sheet into 4 rectangles.
Note:
- Separate sheets whilst they are still frozen using a long bladed knife.
- Place unused frozen sheets in a plastic bag, tie off and return to freezer.
- Thaw at room temperature for approximately 5 to 10 minutes or alternatively put in the refrigerator overnight

Step 2: PREHEAT the oven to 200 degrees
Step 3: Cut an inner rectangle leaving about 1 inch border and Fold the Pastry sheet across each other. (Repeat for each rectangle)

Step 4: Beat an egg yolk and glaze it around the borders of the pastry sheet

Step 5: Use fork and poke some holes on the inner rectangle to release air
Step 6: Bake in oven (approximately 20 minutes) or till it is golden brown

Step 7: Spread a bit of cream cheese or jam. Garnish the puff pastry with the fruits of your choice. I have used strawberries and blueberries. You can also sprinkle some icing sugar (optional)

This is my first time I made FRUIT PUFF PASTRY! I have used frozen pastry sheet to reduce time and effort. Surprisingly, it is pretty easy and successful. My family love it!
