My Rating:
(3 out of 5)
Poulet. It was one of the week day night gathering with our great friends. Initially, we were thinking to go Imperial Treasure. We decided to change to Poulet. I have never been to poulet. Good opportunity to give it a try. I have been seeing a lot of the chicken advertisement. Our friends were also singing praises for their signature roast chicken.
Ambience
They were quite crowded. I noticed there were a couple of group of friends. I think it is great for friends and families with kids as well. The place is pretty open so you won't need to worry if you need to speak softly in case you are afraid that you might disturb other customers.
Service
The service staff were pretty swift in their ordering.
Food
We had the following:
~French Onion Soup~
I suddenly have the craving of french onion soup so decided to ordered that. It is a bit thicker than the others I had. It is still quite nice with onion aroma.
~Other Starters~
We also had the sauteed wild mushrooms. It is a trio of button, shimeji and king oyster mushrooms coupled with a poached egg. I always love mushrooms. First time I see poached egg with mushrooms. I thought the dish is so so. The garlic and pork sausages with mustard and homemade black mission fig marmalade were better.
~Signature Roast Chicken (Half)~
Roast chicken served with creamy fresh button mushroom Chardonnay Sauce. The chardonnay was pretty faint. The sauce was very unique. Not too creamy. Just right to complement the chicken. I would recommend to order this if you patronise them.
~Oxtail de Bourguignon~
The oxtail with the big slice of carrot was pretty tender. A good alternative choice to go for as your main dish.
~Desserts~
We had their promotional items. Tarte Framboise (Tart with Raspberry served with vanilla ice cream. Peach Clafoutis (French baked dessert with peach and vanilla icecream). I love both desserts. The fruits, ice cream with their baked crust complements one another very well.
