Pasta Brava. My family wanted to have Italian pasta. Where to? My first thought was Pasta Brava. It is at Tanjong Pagar. Near to my workplace. Pretty Convenient. Walking Distance too. Pasta Brava is always highly recommend by many of my friends. I have been there for lunch once too for my colleague's birthday celebration. This time I decided to bring my family to try the awesome pasta!
Luckily I made reservation. It was crowded when we reach there. There were small group of friends/ colleagues and couples. It is brightly lit. You can hear happy conversations flying in the air. pasta_brava_ambience pasta_brava_table
The service were ok ok. The staff seems a bit unfriendly. Luckily food was served swiftly. I think if they improve on their service attitude, they will be superb. perhaps cos the place was crowded, the service staff got tired and become a bit impatient and unfriendly.

The bread was served warm together with olive oil. For those of you who don't fancy olive oil, you can always request for butter.

Spaghetti with crayfish, garlic, herbs and tomato sauce served in parchment paper. I always love tomato sauce based pasta. It make it so appetising. The crayfish was also pretty fresh. It was so aromatic. Interesting to see it served in parchment paper. I thought it will be more appealing if they open it in front of us.

Thin pieces of fresh pasta with scallops, prawns, green peppercorn, white wine, with saffron cream sauce. I really love this dish so so much. It feels like our asian hor fun which is my forever love. I guess maybe that why I also love this dish most. The scallop and prawns are very fresh. The sauce is also not too creamy.
~Ravioli Con Carne Di Manzo Al Gorgonzola~
Ravioli filled with minced beef, served with a light gorgonzola. It feel like eating our asian dumplings. I tried their Agnolotti Farciti Al Salmone (Round shaped pasta filled with fresh and smoke salmon, served with tomato and cream sauce). I prefer that they filled with minced beef than the salmon. It is much more fragrant.
~Risotto Nero Alla Sinfonia Dei Nostri Mari~
Arborio rice (Italian short-grain rice) cooked with seafood and squid ink, flavoured with white wine. Squid Ink. The black black ink always make ppl fearful of eating this dish. Your teeth will look awful with the black ink. haha. But I like squid ink dishes as they are always very fragrant.
~Lava Al Cioccolato~

Chocolate Lava cake served with fresh cream or vanilla ice-cream. The lava cake is crispy outside and so soft inside with the flowing chocolate lava. The vanilla ice cream complement so well with the warm chocolate cake.
~Torta Di Mele Al Mascarpone~
Italian apple cake with mascarpone cheese, served with vanilla ice-cream. The apple cake is light and goes well with the Vanilla ice cream.
~Tiramisu Al Mascarpone E Caffe~ pasta_brava_tiramisu
Traditional Italian Cheese Cake with Mascarpone, coffee and strega liqueur (Italian herbal liqueur) The cake is light with strong liqueur flavor. Tiramisu, my favourite dessert. It is always a dish that hard to get it wrong.
This place is great to satisfy pasta craving. It is a hidden gem in this Tanjong Pagar area. It is pretty accessible as it is walking distance to Tanjong Pagar MRT.
