Ju Shin Jung (West Coast)

Ju Shin Jung~ It was a Chinese New Year Family Dinner Gathering. We are not going for the usual 10 course chinese menu and also not the typical steamboat dinner. We are actually going for a Korean BBQ dinner! It was refreshing welcome change. Especially, we will be eating lots of steamboat or chinese cuisine dinner through out the Chinese New Year period.

Old Street Bak Kut Teh (老街肉骨茶) – Funan DigitaLife Mall

Old Street Bak Kut Teh (老街肉骨茶)~ A small Bak Kut Teh restaurant at Funan DigitaLife Mall. What is Bak Kut Teh? You can literally translate it to "Meat Bone Tea". It is a chinese soup with Key Ingredient - Pork Ribs. Ironically, There is no tea inside in the soup but more of drinking chinese tea along with the dish. Basically, pork ribs are simmered with different variety herbs or spices (depends on the style). Some are more Herbalish and some are more Pepperish. So it greatly depends on your preference. I love both!

Hua Yu Wee (华友园) Seafood Restaurant

Hua Yu Wee (华友园)~ A Chinese Seafood Restaurant. We were planning for our family gathering. Going for a seafood dinner seems to be a great choice. The usual options would have been Jumbo Seafood Restaurant. Sound Boring. We decided to check it out for Hua Yu Wee. Highly Recommended by our family friends.

South Korea – Seoul & Jeju Island Oct 2014 (12 Days 11Nights) Part 1 of 4

Day 1 to 3: South Korea. Southern half of Korea. After watching so much Korean Drama, I have been deeply mesmerised by South Korea’s beautiful ancient and modern culture. It was my first trip to South Korea. I have always resist the idea of going to South Korea as I always worry about the Language Barrier. This time I decided to embrace my adventurous side and armed ourselves with a comprehensive travel itinerary and Google Translate App. *Winkz*
