My Rating:
(4 out of 5)
Ever wake up in the morning and crave for a good satisfying breakfast? That was the exact mood I had on that very morning. Thinking try a new place for brunch...I decided to ask Mr Google for help. Reviews on Nassim Hill bistro look good and indeed the bistro didn't disappoint me.
Ambience
The place is spacious with various seating options. The place is brightly lit and pretty crowded. It is also a bar as well. Hence, the atmosphere is different from the usual cafes. It suddenly seem natural if you order beer to go with your breakfast. *winkz* I still crave for coffee more than beer. There is also free parking in front of the bistro. Unfortunately, we found out too late after we parked in the basement carpark.
Service
The service staff are very efficient. We were directed to our seats swiftly and our orders were also taken in no time. The food also arrive soon after. Nothing to complain about.
Food
We had the following:
~Hearty scrambled eggs (S$20.00)~
Scrambled Eggs with Swiss cheese, Prosciutto with their signature Grimbergen Ambrée beer bread. The dish look simple. It is like a simple gathering of the eggs, vegetables, cheese. The key highlight is the scrambled eggs. They are one of the best that I ever have. It is so soft and creamy with different shades of yellow. Prosciutto complements the eggs with its saltiness.
~Hot Reuben (S$18.00)~
The massive sandwich is filled sliced corned beef with melted emmental cheese, saurkraut, onions and Russian dressing. ooo..I love the melted cheese. Surprisingly, this dish is actually cheaper than the hearty scrambled eggs dish. I thought usually beef is more expensive. There are hints of the maltiness from the beer bread. Interesting. Beer + Bread!
