PUTIEN (Resort World Sentosa)

PUTIEN ~ It was a casual Sunday family dinner. My Parents have yet to try PUTIEN so I thought to bring them to check it out. PUTIEN has been always highly recommended for casual dining with family and friends. They have 10 outlets all over Singapore. You may be able to easily find an outlet near your area.

Victor’s Kitchen (Chinatown Point)

Victor's Kitchen ~ It was a casual family dinner. We decided to have dinner at Chinatown Point. I am tired with our usual choices. We decided to try Victor's Kitchen. I tried their main branch at Sunshine Plaza. It wasn't too bad. Decided to give their 2nd branch a try.

Clinton Street Baking Company

Clinton Street Baking Company ~ It was my friend's belated birthday celebration. Was researching and saw good reviews for Clinton Street Baking Company. Heard they are very popular for their pancakes! Unfortunately, we cannot make reservation for brunch. When we reach, it was quite a long wait. It was a very hot day. We were perspiring! Do go really early if you want to try there.

Invited Tasting: GOROGORO

GoroGoro~ haha what does it remind you of? The sound that naturally occur when you are hungry? The sound of the boiling soup? Yeah thats how that name come about. Simple and Catchy name. Steamboat is always one of my favourite for gatherings. Everyone get to choose what they like to eat and cook to the level that they like! GoroGoro is a new kid in Orchard Gateway @ Emerald. I always like to try new place to have different dining experience. They were just open for like 2+ weeks. Thanks to Aloysius and GoroGoro for inviting me!

Dim Sum @ Jumbo Seafood (NSRCC)

Jumbo Seafood~ First thought come into my mind is their Chilli Crab~ They are famous for their seafood dishes. I didn't know that they serve Dim Sum during lunch time. I was a bit skeptical initially for this seafood restaurant offering dim sum. I am glad that they never fail to amaze me. The dim sum was delicious!

Old Street Bak Kut Teh (老街肉骨茶) – Funan DigitaLife Mall

Old Street Bak Kut Teh (老街肉骨茶)~ A small Bak Kut Teh restaurant at Funan DigitaLife Mall. What is Bak Kut Teh? You can literally translate it to "Meat Bone Tea". It is a chinese soup with Key Ingredient - Pork Ribs. Ironically, There is no tea inside in the soup but more of drinking chinese tea along with the dish. Basically, pork ribs are simmered with different variety herbs or spices (depends on the style). Some are more Herbalish and some are more Pepperish. So it greatly depends on your preference. I love both!

Invited Tasting: Ramen Champion Competition

Ramen Champion~ Thank you Komars Group for the wonderful invitation to attend the Ramen Champion Competition 2015. Ramen Champion Singapore has held their Ramen Champion Tasting Competition on 15 Jan 2015 for the 6 ramen brands - Menya Ryu, Buta God, Riki, Menban Yamagishi Kazuo, Shodai Koji and Tonkotsu Ikkyu. I was honored to be invited to witness the competition. Most importantly I get to taste all 6 Ramen Champion Singapore brands and meet fellow food bloggers. Awesome!

Wa Cafe (Chinatown Point)

Wa Cafe~ I have passed by this cafe numerous times. The dessert "Japanese Matcha & Ogura Honey Toast" always looks so so attractive on their display. It reminds me of the wonderful thick toast I had in Beijing. Wa Cafe's version of the thick toast is good to fix my thick toast craving. 🙂
