Ginza Tendon Itsuki (Tanjong Pagar)

Ginza Tendon Itsuki at Tanjong Pagar ~ Ramen Keisuke has collaborated with highly acclaimed Ginza Itsuki Sushi restaurant in Tokyo, Japan to have Ginza Tendon Itsuki in Singapore. It is Ramen Keisuke's eighth new concept outlet. Tendon is actually a one-bowl food meal. It is popular among Japanese around the world especially during summer. It was highly recommended by my colleagues and they brought me there for an early birthday celebration. Ginza Tendon Itsuki is always very popular and there is always long queue. A Very Value for Money Delicious Tempura place. Great place to satisfy tempura craving.

1933 by Toast Box

1933 by Toast Box ~ A new cafe by Toast Box. It brings you back to the 1930s in Singapore. Interesting Cafe Concept. Wonder why the year 1933. It is different from the usual Toast Box where it is self-service. The menu is also different. Of course, they still offer the usual delights - Singapore Kopi and Teh. Located at Capitol Piazza. Lovely revamped Mall. Good thing to know is you get to enjoy free parking during lunch time from 12pm – 2pm daily! A great place to go for lunch.

O Banh Mi (Tiong Bahru Plaza)

O Banh Mi (Tiong Bahru Plaza) ~ Tiong Bahru Plaza is still in the midst of refreshing the mall. Excited to see new stores springing up. The mall seems much more lively than ever. The human traffic seems to increase too. Was looking for a casual dinner place. We chanced upon O Banh Mi. I enjoy Vietnamese food. Great to have Vietnamese food available in Tiong Bahru Plaza

The Tastemaker Store

The Tastemaker Store ~ Went to do my hair at Silkcut Salon and I chanced upon this cafe. After reading some reviews, we decided to drop by for a light late lunch before dinner. The Tastemker Store offers a simple menu on local delights like Toast Set with soft boiled eggs. They also have an assortment of daily bakes and pastries. For coffee lovers, they do also serve gourmet coffee. They also collaborate with local designers/ artists to sell their works and products in the cafe.

So Pho (Novena Square)

So Pho ~ We were at Novena area and wanted to grab a quick early lunch. Decided to drop by Novena Square. Chanced upon So Pho. Vietnamese dining place with a good selection of Vietnamese appetizers and delights. We didn't try it before. It was hidden in a corner. Luckily, we were early before the lunch crowd starts. The queue starts to form when the lunch hour strike. Noticed that they are Halal certified. Great for our Muslim friends.

Mak’s Noodles (Vivocity)

Mak's Noodles ~ I was recommended to Mak's Noodles since many years ago. That was during my first trip to Hong Kong. My friend told me it was the best wonton noodles he had ever eaten. Now they are also in Singapore. No need to travel to Hong Kong to satisfy craving. I decided to give their Vivocity Outlet a try.

Hakata Ikkousha (Chijmes)

Hakata Ikkousha ~ Popularly known as the Ramen Champion Winner at Bugis + in 2012 and 2013. They have 2 branches (Tanjong Pagar, Chijmes). Chijmes a lovely accessible place at City Hall but always easily forgotten by many people. I always feel it is a nice place with lovely ambience with many great food places.

Brothers Ramen

Brothers Ramen ~ Run by The 2 CAI brothers, Weili & Weisheng. So heartwarming that 2 brothers have the same passion. I understand they were previously located at a coffeeshop stall in Tanjong Pagar Plaza in 2010. Since 2015, they have moved to a small ramen restaurant in International Plaza. As they are located near my office, I frequently patronise them. I also brought my friends from local and overseas there to try. I am happy that they also love it. A Great Singapore Style Ramen ~
