Invited Tasting: Xi Yan @ Shaw Centre

Xi Yan @ Shaw Centre~ A Hidden Gem in Shaw Centre. Xi Yan has opened a Casual Dining outlet in addition to the Private Dining Outlet. It is to bring the same quality and creative dishes from their private dining restaurant Xi Yan Craig Road to the mass market in a more relax ambience which is great for friends and family. I am so glad that they have invited me for a tasting!

Dim Sum @ Jumbo Seafood (NSRCC)

Jumbo Seafood~ First thought come into my mind is their Chilli Crab~ They are famous for their seafood dishes. I didn't know that they serve Dim Sum during lunch time. I was a bit skeptical initially for this seafood restaurant offering dim sum. I am glad that they never fail to amaze me. The dim sum was delicious!

Ju Shin Jung (West Coast)

Ju Shin Jung~ It was a Chinese New Year Family Dinner Gathering. We are not going for the usual 10 course chinese menu and also not the typical steamboat dinner. We are actually going for a Korean BBQ dinner! It was refreshing welcome change. Especially, we will be eating lots of steamboat or chinese cuisine dinner through out the Chinese New Year period.

Hua Yu Wee (华友园) Seafood Restaurant

Hua Yu Wee (华友园)~ A Chinese Seafood Restaurant. We were planning for our family gathering. Going for a seafood dinner seems to be a great choice. The usual options would have been Jumbo Seafood Restaurant. Sound Boring. We decided to check it out for Hua Yu Wee. Highly Recommended by our family friends.

Bangkok Trip Jan 2015 (5 Days 4 Nights) Part 1 of 3

A long awaited post that I been delaying for a long time. How I miss going for a holiday! It was our 2015 Bangkok holiday! It was a 5 days 4 nights trip. We went in January 2015. Just nice to do some Chinese New Year Shopping. It will be Eat...Shop...Sleep...Massage Trip.

Invited Tasting: Thai Boat Noodles

Thai Boat Noodle – Always One Dollar at Bedok Point~ New Kid on the Bedok Point. They are just opened on 22nd Jan 2015. The interesting thing about them is they serve small bowls of different thai boat noodles at only S$1 or S$1.50. First thought in my mind how "big" bowl would that be. 3-4 mouths of noodles would clear the bowl. They have 4 varieties (Mini Boat Noodle Dry/ Soup Version, Tom Yam Noodle and Spicy Pork noodle). This mean you can just order different varieties to try. You can order some side dish to go with or their other thai speciality. Their Tom Yam Fried Rice is amazing. I shall leave to later to give you the details. Most importantly, I would like to give thanks for the invite to the tasting. It was enjoyable experience especially I get to meet other foodies too.

Invited Tasting: Ramen Champion Competition

Ramen Champion~ Thank you Komars Group for the wonderful invitation to attend the Ramen Champion Competition 2015. Ramen Champion Singapore has held their Ramen Champion Tasting Competition on 15 Jan 2015 for the 6 ramen brands - Menya Ryu, Buta God, Riki, Menban Yamagishi Kazuo, Shodai Koji and Tonkotsu Ikkyu. I was honored to be invited to witness the competition. Most importantly I get to taste all 6 Ramen Champion Singapore brands and meet fellow food bloggers. Awesome!

Wa Cafe (Chinatown Point)

Wa Cafe~ I have passed by this cafe numerous times. The dessert "Japanese Matcha & Ogura Honey Toast" always looks so so attractive on their display. It reminds me of the wonderful thick toast I had in Beijing. Wa Cafe's version of the thick toast is good to fix my thick toast craving. 🙂
